Digital Campaign
Wasserman was challenged with creating a unique voice for Tech Deck to speak to its core demographic, 6-11 year-olds, while bolstering its image as an authentic skateboard brand. Wasserman was also tasked with highlighting the fun of play, educating customers on how to learn fingerboard tricks, encouraging them to collect Tech Deck boards and identify where to buy products.
In response, I lead our creative team and developed a campaign centered around the tagline, “Start Small. Go Big.” The campaign speaks to kids looking for their entry point into the skateboard community. It also nods to the concept of starting with easier tricks then learning more advanced ones or starting a small collection and growing it. This campaign uses photography to place Tech Deck in the appropriate, skateboard environment, encourages learning through a series of how-to videos and documents Tech Decks Street League Foundation sponsorship. All content being hosted on brand social channels.
Since the implementation of the campaign Tech Deck has seen steady growth in its social reach across all channels. It reached its goal of reaching 35,000 Instagram followers two months ahead of schedule.
Responsibilities Included: Concept ideation, copywriting, art direction, design, photography, digital imaging, storyboarding, directing and producing.
